Creating a new article
There are a couple ways to create a new article. The easiest is by creating a link. Let's say we are going to write an article about replacing the rear brakes. After looking around, the Maintenance Information page or Searching and not finding and existing article the Maintenance Information page seems like a good place for it. After navigating to the Maintenance Information page, click on the edit tab to edit the content of the page. Find an appropriate place to put the link and insert it like so:
Rear Brakes
Now keep in mind, the text inside the double brackets will become the name of the article as well as the URL. Some care needs to be taken at this point so that the link is neither too general, nor too complex. An example of something that would be too general:
Brakes
This would prevent someone else from writing a different article about brakes. At the other end of the spectrum, you don't want the name to be too complex because it will be difficult for others to link to. Here is an example of something that is too complex:
I Replaced My Rear Brakes Because They Were Squeaking
You can definitely add more of a description without affecting the name of the article like so:
Replacing the Tacoma Rear Brakes
In this example the name of the article would still be 'Rear Brakes'. Once you are finished naming your article and placing a link to it on the proper page, save the edit and then simply click on the new link! There is no such thing as a broken link with Wiki. If you click on a link that goes to a page that does not exist, you will be prompted to enter the content.
Inserting images into your article
You can insert images into your article very easily. You must first upload the image to the server by clicking the "Upload File" link located in the menu on the lefthand side of the screen. Once successfully uploaded, you will then be given the code to insert your image with your text. For example, if you wanted to insert a photo you already uploaded you would simply insert the following code in with your text.
