Tire Size Calculator
A metric to standard tire size calculator is located here: Tire Size Calculator
Example:
265/75/16
- "265" is the section width, in millimetres
- "75" is the aspect ratio
- "16" is the rim size
In order to determine the standard size of the above tire:
- Divide 265mm by 25.4mm, the answer is the section width in Inches,
- Multiply this number by 0.75 to calculate the sidewall height,
- To determine overall diameter, multiply the answer from Step two by 2, and add 16.
So from the above calculations a 265/75/16 tire measures 31.6" x 10.4". Actual sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
