Exclamation TTORA TakeOver 2008 - August 8th, 9th and 10th

Well, after much time and research with trying to come up with the location for the 08 TakeOver, we've finally come to a conclusion.

This year's TakeOver was scheduled to be held within our Eastern Region. Basically, the 2 choices we had narrowed it down to were Harlan, KY and Rausch Creek, PA. All the chapters that were involved in the research process for both of these locations have done an excellent job. I appreciate the time and effort they put into researching the locations. Both Harlan and Rausch Creek would meet our needs for holding the event at either location.

So, to cut to the chase...

This year's TakeOver will be held in Harlan, Kentucky. The event will be held August 8th, 9th & 10th 2008. The hosting chapters for this event will be the Kentucky and Indiana Chapters and their staff will be heading up the trail portion of the event!

Registration info will be available soon!

Thanks!

Wow, I like you more and more, Gadget!

Don't ask, don't tell.

Maybe we should ask that question to the Fonz.

Back on topic, timing doesn't work out for me. I am going wheeling that weekend. No time to hang out with y'all.

Glen, we are already working on the Take Over website, got a few bits of stray information from of the subcommitee members who is out of town currently and then the site should be navigatable.

In the meantime I need to look through my million of book marks to find the website, give me afew.

The first time I wheel'd in Kentucky (different location though) My wife and I swore we heard "dueling banjos" playing off in the distance as we passed some of the locals.

Kentucky is a beautiful state, but it is also very "unique" within it's culture. All and all it should be a very enjoyable event.

9-hour drive!

I'm due to transfer back to San Diego in late-August / early-September. This might make a good farewell to wheeling in this part of the country...

Definitely do it! you need to come!

Oh! unless you want get down there "early" I am not sure a caravan is going to work this year. But you are more than welcome to come down with us.

Since you are coming through Indy, if you do choose to do so, you could come in On Wednesday night, stay with us (spare bedroom) and leave with us on Thursday. But we have months to work on the details.

Hmmm - only 20 hours and 1300 miles from the Denver area

On the bright side, it's a fairly straight shot....
