The four runner made #2 on the midsize SUV list.
Makes me feel like I chose well.

no surprise that cadillacs, hummers, and mercedes all suck ass. i think mercedes had the highest count of least reliable vehicles on that list. what an over priced POS.

this merger w/ chrysler was supposed to bring chrysler's quality up not drag MBZ quality down even further than it already is.

i saw a thing on top gear about how benz's quality has gone to shit after 1994 or 95. They said that they realized the problem and were disappointed that they are perceived that way. they were supposed to be moving towards more quality parts and stuff in 2005, so no telling how long it will take for them to fulfill that promise

A veichal is only reliable if the owner takes care of it.

They could prove to me that the "baja" would last 1000 years without 1 single repair and I still do not think I would drive it. What an ugly ass thing.

POS? the Baja Rules! If you don't think of it as a "Truck". It's probably all the "Truck" 90% of truck owners out there truly need though.
Scoobs friggin' rock. My ex-oldlady had a Legacy Wagon 2.2 AWD that went better in the snow than a lot of real trucks. If you haul a lot of dirty shit around the Baja is perfect, you can keep the stuff outside instead of in the car with you. If they didn't cost so much $ and the 3.0 H-6 was an option I woulda got one. I wanted a little more motor than the 2.5 though for towing. (all I tow is Dirt Bikes, and maybe a tiny boat here and there). Also wasn't the Last Gen Taco ranked more reliable than the Tundra? Now the Tundra is ranked better than the New Taco? Sounds like the Taco is a step down from the old one. |

It looks like a "new school" el camino. As for the old generation tacomas, I think they have dropped in reliability each time. I have a 99, had an 02, and have a 05. My 99 seems more solid than the other 2. However, not one has had a problem. 99 has 150K, 02 had 125K, and 05 has 2K. They get more comfortable each time, but they just do not seem as solid as the last. |

I don't think that I'd consider the Subaru Baja a truck either..more like one of those cute crossovers like the Rav 4. As for reliability, they probably are reliable for carrying potting soil from Lowes to home in. Subaru does make some kick ass cars though. I'd drive a turbo WRX STi any day.

but I would much rather drive a Baja than a Ridgeline any day. Those things are the biggest abortion on the road today.
As far as consumer reports goes, I don't listen to a damn thing they say. I remember reading how they down graded the 99 Tacoma because it rode like a truck.

Funny thing is a friend of mine works at a Nissan dealer He said Fronteirs are awesome trucks, and their doing pretty good on the reliability side. But the Titans are cool just they have a thousand recalls or somethin.
