mark your calenders october 24th and 25th at rausch creek. I'm gonna try to get a raffle together like we did last year i'll keep everyone posted on that. reply here if you plan to attend.
most of us who are going for the weekend will be arriving friday night and camping untill sunday.
we will have groups to run all trail levels green to black so their will be something for everyone to do
admission to the park is $35 a day $5 for passengers their is a $10 per year membership fee for those of you who have never been to the park and camping is free but is primitive. www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org/ for more info on the park and directions
We will be having a raffle saturday night. each driver gets 1 free ticket. no additional tickets will be sold
Gonna try to convince a friend with a Vehicross to come out and play too.
I was thinking of getting one of those before I got the 4Runner, They are pretty neat and would be interesting to see off-road.
God willing, and job willing, I will try to be there for this run.
I haven't hit a real trail since last February, I am going through some major withdrawl

wow Red didn't you like the monsoon of last years event. did it keep you from running into any trees
count me in I had a great time last year ...
I wouldn't of had a problem with the monsoon if my dumbass wouldn't of blew a bead when we ran into you guys. And yes I did run into a tree thanks to the rain. I was driving by brail.
Im gonna have to work on the 24th but would like to attend the 25th. What time would you guys head out on the trails on sunday? I would be driving down from williamsport which is about a 2 hour drive.

we try to head out between 9 and 10 so i would shoot for being there about 8:30 so you have time to register and air down
If I were able to attend, would there be any objection to me tagging along with someone?
My only concern is that my truck is my only means of transportation right now and I'm living in an apartment complex with a limited supply of tools, so I'm kinda weary of taking it out.
Yeah, I am driving a DD up there too, well not really a DD, but still..
As the date gets closer I will see whats up.
Right now things are up in the air cause I am seeing if other friends are going to be joining and what not.
If I have an available seat your more then welcome to tag along with me.

Im planing on coming. If its a DD your worried about hurting, Id say not to worry too much. Yes bad things do happen, and I will not be responsible when they do. However that being said. Almost everyone gets into this with a stock rig that is a DD. I myself wheel my DD(98 taco) Ive been doing this since summer of 05 and I havent broke anything major yet that prevented me from driving to work the next day. Most things that go wrong for me usually involve wrenching or adding a new mod. go figure. To look at my truck it dosent look like that much. 2" lift and 33" tires but I do wheel blue/black and black trails thanks in part to the rear TRD locker, a crawl box and lots and lots of armor. I also consider myself to be a smart driver and a good spotter
RC also has trails for every skill level/risk tollerance level. I encorage you to drive your own rig because you will be hooked. but if you still feel that is a chance you can not take you should have very little problem finding a open seat. espiecally as the date gets closer and people know more.
Should you decide to drive your DD some things to expect would be rockrash on your wheels, some custom pin stripes from small branches, and maybe some scuffed up sidewalls on your tires. Oh and should you have chrome nerf bars I would sugest leaving them home.
guys am I missing anything?

Also if you do end up breaking something, you will be surrounded with quite a few talented wrench turners that are familiar with Toyotas. I remember one my first wheeling trip with these guys back in 04 at the old Paragon. My cab mounts bolts pulled thru and the cab nearly fell off the frame while on the trail thanks to a crappy install by a local Mechanicsburg 4x4 shop, I am sure you know of them being from there. We pulled together and got it back in shape and were ready to go again in no time.
Come out and see what your truck can do, or grab a seat the first day to see the park and then take yours out the next day. You will be amazed at what a stock tacoma can do.
And Andy is a pretty damn good driver too.
