Suggestions for Campsite/Cabin for Tahoe North or West Shore or Sunnyside?

Looks like due to the economy (people camping instead of traveling) everything is booked up already through Sept 7th, including Tom's, Loon Lake, Sugar Pine. We really don't want to hotel it and really want to be close(r) to Truckee this time around as if things are this booked up now, all it'll be from Kaspian south will be a bunch of yahoo's who don't respect the campsite's/etc.

(*Definitely "No" on Fallen Leaf, Martis Creek)

Anyone know someone with a timeshare or a great suggestion for a Campsite? This is gonna be just a "family" thing so no major wheeling wanted or involved this time.

Do you want to be isolated from crappy camping neighbors?

If you want to stay close to Truckee, head north on 89 towards Sierraville and there is some great camping up that way. There are alot of primitive sites at almost any turn-off along 89 in between Truckee and Sierraville. We stayed up there by Stampede Reservoir one time and had a great time and didn't see one other person. And there is some great swimming!

Yeah, we wanted to be sort-of isolated but it looks like I'm just gonna suck it up and just go with an available spot that's been offered for now. I'll just find a way to leave stuff with friends to lock-up and we'll be all good.
