Painted the card board to look like steel. Its sweet!

Finish welding the winch box as we speak.

Well finished er up today and I must say I really like the way it looks. Glad I took the time to buff it out before primer and paint. Just need Sam to bend me up a lil piece of tube in his spare time to connect the 2 sides of the winch box and act as a little stinger/light mount.

Oh yeah, did the poser flex thing and tried out the low gear. Lifted the rear no spinnage.

I really really like this thing man.

Painted the wheelchair load out on the back if the bus today. Pete stopped in and I put the bastard to work scuffing up the rims. Primer, paint, and clear. They look like new rims. Also cut the huge assed tail pipe down a little, it sounds deeper now at idle.

Got a new rear diff breather fitting and ran it to the engine bay beside the one for the front axle.

I think thats it for today.

Well played hockey today and ended up messin w the LC afterward.

Masked and painted the front grille, fixed the rear hatch handle, fixed the glove box, and put on the stock rear bumper plastic till I figure out whats gonna happen back there.

Made the front skid today. Its pretty, 1/4" hardened steel pretty lol. Lifted the front of the 3 ton 80 w it and it did not bend. Thats without the angled piece welded in....

Should do for gettin in and out of the driveway this winter.

Cut the frame flush.

I took Dan's advice and cut out a portion of my skid so air could get to the ps cooler. Makes it look better too.

Well Pete came over and motivated me do dig into the body work again.

We ripped off the bumper, lights, signals, grille and markers so we could get at the sheet metal under the grille. This area was prepped while I welded the flare holes shut. We dealt w all the wheel well rust as well. Primer, rocker guard, paint (under the grille and lights) and another half assed job is off the list.

Well, got up too late to go wheeling with any of the 10 groups goin out today so I hacked at the cruiser some more. Yes pete stopped by for a bit. Yes by hacked I mean hacked and theres more hacking to be done.

Cut off the oe hitch, cut off the oe x member/rear bumper, hacked about 3 inches off the frame, relocated the reciever to frame level, bolted it all in for now. I plan to incorporate some kind of tow hooks at the frame horns, and do some kind of wrap around corners. Oh and Im looking in to cutting the rear 1/4's up at the tape line in one of the pics.

More hacking.

Frame is boxed w 1/4", tow pts welded to frame and frame caps. Ugly but I have a lil more clearance, a reciever, and the base for some wing type things. Still have to decide what to do w the 1/4's...

285 75 15 goodyear duratracks. they ride very nice and are day/night compared to the old 265's that came with the van.
