I ended up trimming the body a little higher and the sealing up the cut edge and installing trim to it. I have already jacked the truck up by the side of the bumper and it does not flex enought to contact the fender

I will get some more pics as the rainy weather dies down..

How much did you pay for that bad boy?

Do you have pictures of the complete truck?

Looks awesome. If Demello moves that into production with shipping options, I bet they'll sell 'em like hot cakes.

I'm not too keen on the size of those recovery points though. They look a bit thin to me.

That's a nice bumper... Looks ready to have a tire carrier fabbed up for it.

Those recovery points will handle anything you can throw at them.

Having an air tank mounted on the rear corner of your truck seems like a really really bad idea.

Man, that's a nice setup. How much weight in the back? I can almost hear your leaf springs screaming from here.

Sawzall? Plasma Cutter?

Not bashing Demello products at all. I'm a proud supporter and user. Just making an observation, having been required to pull a fully loaded FZJ80 off a rock with mine. I wasn't that excited about it...

it's not that bad. the stock hitch receiver weighs close to the bumper itself; so the only added weight is the gate, tank, and gas. I've updated the springs to Dakars so they fine.

as far as the tank goes, it has a sturdy bar under it to protect it from impact and it's only on when i go wheeling.

ProShopPB - this might be a stupid question but I don't see a license plate mount or lights for the plate. Where did you install it? In Colorado law states the plate must be lit up. Just curious what you did?

Maybe there is an insert for the receiver?

Needless to say, nice bumper!!

Maybe mine will turn out that way.

That's what I've got. Since the bumper has integrated recovery points, the receiver would only be needed if you actually wanted to pull something - at which point you'd have to remove the license plate and temporarily duct tape it to your window. Anything permanently mounted to the bumper that causes the license plate to hang down below will get chewed up by rocks - one of the side effects of the low profile bumper.

I don't have a light for mine yet, and I know I need one. One option I've seen is a license plate bolt that includes an integrated LED light to illuminate the plate. I can't remember if its battery-powered or hard-wired, but it's a pretty good option to meet the requirement. The other thing I considered was finding a license plate mount with lights already built in (like the old FJ40 ambulance door mount), and installing it on the tailgate. The existing wiring from the stock bumper is already back there, you'd just need to run it into the tailgate. But since I'm still considering a bumper-mounted tire carrier, I'm waiting for a final placement.

Jacket to your point I will be looking at a bumper mounted tire carrier which pretty much solve the problem since it will give you more locations to mount the plate.

Yeah that does suck with a High Clearance bumper. No where really good to mount the license plate except in the receiver. But I would rather have that issue then be hitting my rear end around on the rocks!

The plate is on the bed bar.. which im not sure if I am diggin. I do have the ability to mount it to the receiver and slide it out when needed. Thanks for the idea!
