Arrow huyissuperman - '04 Prerunner Xtra-Cab 2.7L

I'm just now starting to put this thread together, a lot of info will be missing or I'll most likely forgot about them. Anywho, this will be a good diary for me or those that are interested.

Goals for this truck are comfort and improving stock ride quality. I'm using it mainly for street and daily driving, with very few occasional trail days...since its a 2x4 after all.

Minor stuff a week of owning it:

3" Front spacers lift.
Alignment.
Diff breather.
5% Tint rear 5 windows.
15% Tint front 2 windows.
De-badged the entire truck.
Wash, wax, and paint correction.

Previous had an '02 DC 3.4L 4WD, also in white.

Decided to completely flushed out all the fluids for a fresh start. I always do this with every new car/truck regardless of what the previous owner said. Also installed a brand new K&N FIPK intake system, pretty hard to beat for $30.

Oil change - will be done every 3,000 miles
Transmission flush - every 30k
Differential flush - every 15k
Brake flush - every 30k
Coolant flush - every 50k
K&N FIPK - clean and oil every 10k

Yes, I'm pretty anal when it comes to keeping all of my cars clean and maintenance up to date.

Heading to Holy Jim for a quick run.

Got hit by the mod bug and I decided to mess around with the truck again. Ditched the King coils, and ordered some Bilstein/Toytec coils since they came out with a new version so I wanted to test them out. Nothing wrong with King, they were great, just wanted to try something new. I know, I should've got SAW, Icon, Fox, blah blah but its my truck, and I'm modding it the way I want, not to please you. LOL!

By having open accounts with almost every companies, I can change my setup and get shit at manufacturer's cost whenever I want...so nothing is set in stone.

First thing first, dynamat the truck - such a PITA!

Then install a few minor stuff - Fumoto oil drain valve (F103-N)

Also found a set of Energy Suspension rear bump stops at Autozone for $12. Much cheaper than the Timbren bump stops. It might be smaller and quality is not up to par with Timbren, but $12 > $200.

Drilled.

15 mins later...everything installed.

Well, since I ordered the Bilstein coils and I like my stuff matching. For the rears, got a set of All-Pro 3" leaf springs, Bilstein 5125 (10" travel) YAY! All-Pro UCA will probably be the next addition, after I fuck up the OEM ball joints.

Removed old sagging springs.

New All-Pro 3" springs with bushings.

Old vs. New

New 10" Bilstein 5125's with bushings.

Everything installed & bolted down.

Also chop the exhaust off, and made the proportioning valve relocate bracket. I didn't want a new brake line since the OEM line has a bit of room after I took off the bracket. Maybe I'll just get one sooner or later just for safety purposes.

Off jack stands.

Height measurements from ground to bottom of fender flares:

Before = Fronts: 38.50" (Left) - 38.50" (Right) Rears: 37.75" (Left) - 37.75" (Right)

After = Fronts: 39.00" (Left) - 39.00" (Right) Rears: 41.00" (Left) - 41.00" (Right)

Gained evenly across the board +.25" in fronts, +3.25" rears. After driving around for a while, it should settle to about 3" as advertised. The Bilstein coils should be here next week, I'll post a write up on that later. Oh, and I need new tires soon as well...after the joy of Xmas, New Year, mortage, bills, fun fun fun!

Bilstein coils came in today with Eibach 650 lbs springs and wrench. I guess Christmas is a bit early for me this year. Fedex actually kept their words and delivered it as scheduled.

Installed

Review: Ride is a bit more bouncier/rougher than King but expected with the 650 lbs springs and I did cranked them a bit higher than King to level out the truck. OEM UCA is at its limit with the current height settings and will bind sooner or later. Just waiting for a good opportunity/excuse to fuck them up and get the All-Pro UCA. Other than that, it fits the bill perfectly for what I want in a set of coils. Uber cheap <$500 (BNIB), excellent valving and rebound, and it matches my rear shocks.

Height measurement is 40.5" (from floor to bottom of fender flares) evenly across the board...*except driver front is at 40.8" to account for battery, driver weight, and gas tank.
