Wagoneer Axles
Quick question guys. I am looking to start a solid axle swap on my 88 yota. My question is, should I pick up an available 1990 wagoneer for 300 bucks for that axle? Its even running, but doesnt have rims or tires. I tried searching and found that an axle from 86-91 wagoneer would work, but that 89 is the best year. Any help or suggestions?

Actually, might not work now. Since the Wagoneer is an auto that probably means it has the vacuum disconnect, correct?

Why not just use a yota axle? Everything is very well mapped out and pretty simple. If you just want a Dana axle why not source a Chevy D44?

is it 5 or 6 lug cause I think if it is the 5 on 4.5" lug pattern is a dana 30

IIRC, the waggy i pulled my 44 out of was an auto, and it doesnt have the vacuum crap, but it was an 87.

I would love to use a toyota axle. Have been looking for one in my area for a while now. Someone is selling one right now on Craiglist for 625. Which seemed pretty steep. But I have ran info a few wagoneer axles and I know some people put them under their yotas. I figured I would go that route since I am having a hard time tracking down a toyota axle.

Stay away from the 82-83 wagoneers with the vacuum disconnect. The 1990 axle should work great and has 30 splines i believe.
