Default Guess it's time to start the SAS

Was driving home last night and had a blowout coming around a curve. Fucked my shit up.................. Upper A-arm is bent to shit, tie rod, i'm sure the spindle is bent, my cab is moved over (body lift) which made my fan shroud hit the fan which caused it to start overheating. It still drives straight somehow but i dont think i will be driving it.

Fu*K! Damn glad that guard rail saved your bacon! Still damned amazed you were able to drive the truck home. Like Travis stated, time to blow off the cobwebs off that 84 of yours!
Have you already contact the insurance company on the crash?

no i plan on taking care of all that shit tomorrow. i went and loaded it up on the trailer today so i can haul it to the shop. Yeah i was probably gonna take the '84 anyways but i think it's a sure thing now. I'll probably Paypal you da dough for those springs next friday Glen. Now that i'm SASing the taco anybody wanna but an ugly ass '84? Hand throttle, lincoln locked rear, 22re swap, and soon to have some 5" junkyard springs.

Damn, was it because you hit the guardrail that caused the blowout? Like others have said, glad to hear you're ok!

I do have some spare spindles if you want to keep it IFS for now. You can also get yourself some new upper control arms from Laurence unless he has sold his already. Sorry to hear about the accident. Where did it happen at?

i wanna see how big the ins. check is first. i just got a incomplete quote from the Red McCombs this morning for what he can see $1992. He said they would have to tear it down for a complete estimate.

i don't know for sure. from the looks of the wheel/tire the guardrail caused the gash in the tire. i was only going about 40 when it happened but it felt like the tire blew.

well i talked to Terry at All-pro today and it looks like they will be carrying the FROR diamond axles in about a month or so which have a steel housing than a dana 44 with cast housing. i wanna get it back on the road so i'm just gonna get adam's spindle and laurance's upper control arm do a backyard alignment then take it brake check and tell em it's out of alignment somehow. should i replace the ball joints too?
