Default suspension question

Ive started the 63 in chevy rear swap on my 4runner. After measureing I mounted the front hangers 11 1/2 in forward of the existing. I built 6 in shackles and mounted them in the stock rear hanger. When I put weight on them they went all the way to the frame. My question is should I move the shackle hanger, use dual shackles, or do a 3/4 eliptical set up? I know a 4 link would be best but Im working on a tight budget. I have a welding machine, cutting rig ect.... so the fab work isnt bad. Im just looking for which direction I should go. Ive done searches on the eliptical setup and read the good and bad so Im aware, people still useing it. I havent found much on dual shackles though. If annyone has a pair of hangers laying around pretty cheep that would help too. Anny helpful info apreciated.

On my Taco with 63s I have the stock Chevy shackle bolted to the stock Toy shackle. The Toy shackle sits against the frame when not flexed. Then swings down to give awsome droop while flexing. The shockes are in the stock location and limit the droop, for now. But I need to move the hanger to give a better shackle angle and a better ride on the street.

But for your situation I would suggest moving the hanger back a few inches by grinding the welds and rewelding it.

For my Runner I bought the cheepest ones I could fine, $20.

Here is my writeup for the chevy spring swap on to my '86 pickup.

Keep in mind you'll need to do have a double cardan joint drive shaft made. Just take front drive shaft, have it lengthened and install a multi drilled rear output flange on the t-case.
